“Chowdary”,the name says it all.Barely 8 percent of the total population in andhra pradesh,this caste has dominated the state for almost 54 years now.Often referred as the kammas(The Word Meaning Delicious),they control almost all key positions not only in the state,but throughout the country.The man who brought laurels to this caste is Late ” Padmashri Dr.Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao”.A legendary actor who later became the chief minister of andhra pradesh,is considered as the “kula daivam”(Meaning God father of the caste).Well known as NTR,he was one of the greatest leaders to be born in the country. Other prominent chowdary’s all over the world are Paritala Ravindra,who is a rebel  turned politician well known for his no compromise attitude.

Other prominent chowdary’s include NTR’s son in law Nara Chandra Babu Naidu.He succeeded NTR and was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh for 9 years.He was responsible for bringing IT revolution in the state.NTR’s son Bala Krishna now is the uncrowned king of Telugu film industry.NTR’s daughter purandeshwari is the central minister of state for HRD(Human resource development).NTR’s grandson NTR Jr is the future of Telugu Film Industry.He is following the footsteps of his legendary grand father NTR.His  box office block busters like “simhadri and “yamadonga” are the biggest hits ever in Telugu Cinema.Chowdary’s are known for their leadership qualities,kindness and their Royal nature.Many are awaiting to follow the great Legacy.
